Stage three

Touch-up clean, a week after

Dust keeps coming down for days in a house that was closed up for weeks. A short visit a week later takes care of what shows.

  • Booked for a week after the final clean, or after the punch list closes

  • Two cleaners for a short visit

  • Priced by the hour, with a two-hour minimum

A new frameless glass shower with a few tools left on the floor beside it

On the day

How the visit goes

A short visit, with the same two people as before.

  1. 01

    Step 1: Booking

The date is on your original quote; we confirm it once the punch-list work is done.

  2. 02

    Step 2: Arrival

Shoe covers on, runners down, and a look at what the dust did in the week since the last visit.

  3. 03

    Step 3: The visit

Glass first, then sills and fans, then corners and floors, with two cleaners working from opposite ends of the house.

  4. 04

    Step 4: The walk-through

A last look with you or by photo, and the keys, codes or lockbox handled the way we agreed.

Before we arrive, and what we do not do

A few things that make the day go well, and a few that belong to somebody else.

  • Before we arrive

    • Contractor's punch-list work finished first

    • Water and power on

    • Furniture back in place, if you want the floors done under it

    • A place for one van to park

  • What we do not do

    • Repair work or touch-up paint

    • Clean up after trades who are still working

    • Deep clean appliances or clean ducts

    • Change light bulbs or furnace filters

Short answers

Questions about the touch-up clean

Why a week later?

Fine dust keeps settling for days after the work. A visit right at the end leaves it behind; a visit a week later takes it.

Can the touch-up be skipped?

Yes. If the final clean went well and you are happy with the rooms, you can cancel it up to 48 hours ahead without a charge.

Is it priced by the hour or the room?

By the hour, with a two-hour minimum and the number of cleaners shown on the quote.

Hold a touch-up date for a week out

Send the finish date and we add the touch-up to your quote.
